About this app

Say goodbye to your phone going off in a meeting, lecture or other inappropriate situation! Auto Do Not Disturb is an automatic device silencer that can switch your device's 'Do Not Disturb' mode (Android 6 (Marshmello)+) and/or ringer mode (Normal, Vibrate, Silent mode) and volume levels based upon the time, events in your calendar, your current location, the Wi-Fi network you are connected to and other conditions (Bluetooth, Device Charging, Phone in Car User Interface mode - for example if using Android Auto).

The app is highly configurable and optimised for low battery usage. With Auto Do Not Disturb your phone will automatically go into silent mode when you desire, and exit silent mode when you no longer require it - meaning no longer will you miss a phone call because you had forgotten to turn off silent mode!

Features:
• Setup custom profiles that specify when your device should be silent, or loud, etc...
• Priorities can be set to profiles to allow higher priority profiles to override lower priority ones
• Location, Wi-Fi, Time, Bluetooth, Calendar Event and more constraints can be configured for profiles which will decide when the profile activates
• Temporary device silencing for when you need to quickly put your phone on silent 'for the next 5 minutes' on the go
• Supports changing the device's ringer mode - Silent, Vibrate, etc...
• Supports changing the device's 'Do Not Disturb' setting - Priority only, total silence, alarms only, etc...
• Supports, when a profile deactivates, reverting the ringer mode and/or the 'Do Not Disturb' mode back to the value they were previous to the profile's activation
• Compatible with android devices from 4.4+ (Kitkat) onwards
• Beautiful and simple user interface
• Low battery usage - Achieved via efficient handling of location polling and evidenced via real world testing, in addition background battery usage can be almost completely eliminated by specifying both a location and a Wi-Fi network for a profile (And requiring only one to be correct, not both, for the profile to activate)
• Ability to export and import app data to copy your configured silencing profiles to another device you own
• Contains settings that advanced users can tweak to optimize their experience with the app

Example usage: You can specify that when you're at work you want your phone on vibrate and when you're at home overnight on weekdays that you want your phone to be put into 'Priority Only Do Not Disturb' mode - This mode is a part of Android Marshmello+ which allows you to specify 'priority' notifications to receive and even has support for calls to only ring if they dial twice.

In-App you can purchase Premium. Premium users have adverts removed, the ability to create and enable more profiles than non-premium users can and the ability to add an unlimited number of activation conditions to a profile.

Device compatibility:
This app is compatible with almost all android devices running android 4.4+, however some features may not work properly on phones with hardware-mute-switches (Such as on OnePlus devices where with some device/OS versions the switch completely overrides all attempts to change the current silencing mode via software). In the case of a device with a hardware mute switch try downloading the app whilst running the latest version of the operating system and seeing what does and does not work.

**Edit** I uninstalled the app. At the end of meetings, or if I manually closed DND on my phone, it wouldn't restore my ringtone or notification volumes. The only way, via the app, was to turn the "Events" section off. Not helpful. A couple of minor issues: *Short of deactivating one of the presets, I don't have a way to turn DND off ahead of schedule, for instance, if a meeting ends early. (It can happen!) **

I'm not sure I understand your issue, you can override the app anytime. After a profile de-activates the app restores ringer mode and do not disturb mode back to where they were or where you set. It doesn't change the volume which they restore to

DND on Android 10 has not worked for calendar events, so I downloaded this app as a workaround. Unfortunately, this app didn't work either for calendar events. It seemed to work okay for manually started timed DND periods. [Follow-up..] I've verified that app permissions have been granted for calendar and location and that battery optimization for the app has been disabled. I've allowed ample time for the app to detect an event. The event existed in both my Outlook and Google calendars.

Have you definitely granted the app permission to access your calendar? It may take a few minutes to detect an event if you have just created it. Try also disabling battery optimisations for the app to ensure it is allowed to run in the background when it needs to

Update from 2 stars to 4. I had issues with the sound not turning back on that were mostly (but not completely) self inflicted. It can still be a little quirky in that regard. Also, one of the calendar rules doed not work correctly on my Samsung Galaxy S23+; I contacted the developer about this and he was kind enough to get back to me and let me know it was working on his phone but, alas, it would not work on mine. However, this is a very ambitious and well laid out app.

Regarding reliability make sure that battery optimisation is disabled for the app in your android settings, this can limit the app functions whilst in the background and cause issues
